ABOUT ME

Ahlan, I’m Soukaina El Adak—Kaina.
Born in Darmstadt, carried by Moroccan roots, I move through painting, performance, and textiles like someone tracing echoes—following what appears, and what hides beneath.

My work lives in the margins: where the unseen waits, where the unheard gathers. I create for those whose stories slip between the world’s lines, shaping spaces where they can finally take form. My heritage returns in fragments—textures, colors, gestures—quiet but unmistakable.

With a background in theatre, urban dance, and textile craft, my practice exists in the tension between stillness and motion. I listen to what the body remembers, the secrets it keeps, the silence it refuses to break.

Each piece is less a statement and more an opening—a threshold.
